Dutch diplomats back in Tehran: Netherlands restores embassy presence in Iran, following moves by Spain and Switzerland

The Dutch ambassador and part of the embassy staff have quietly returned to Tehran, Foreign Minister Berendsen (CDA) confirmed to RTL Nieuws. In early March, embassy operations were temporarily relocated to the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, due to security concerns.

The Hague Insider reported last week that plans were being prepared to resume (part of) the embassy’s activities in Tehran.
