Dutch cabinet: no action against Turkish diplomat in The Hague
The Dutch government currently sees no reason to take action against Turkish diplomat Ömer Özgül, despite parliamentary questions about his alleged influence within the Islamic Foundation Netherlands (ISN), according to responses from Foreign Affairs Minister Berendsen to the House of Representatives.
The questions followed media reports suggesting that Özgül, a religious attaché at the Turkish embassy, plays a central role within ISN—an organisation that presents itself as independent.
